Melody Larg

graphic designer

hello

I am a graphic designer with over 23 years experience working full and part time for a global brand implementation company. I have a sound knowledge in understanding architect drawings, working to brand guidelines, creating wayfinding and environmental branding solutions. I have worked on global brands and teams across international locations. I also freelance and do voluntary designs for charities and community events.

I love working with people who have a passion for their work and willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. I believe everyone should feel valued and appreciated no matter what role they perform and I work hard to to build this culture in teams I work with.

'Melody was very key to the success of the new global brand implementation programme I managed during my time as Head of Clients at Harkess-Ord. Melody was given the herculean task of interpreting hundreds of existing Thomson Reuters locations which were to change over to a new corporate identity as Refinitiv.

Melody thoughtfully reviewed each location - scrubbing through in-person site visit data and photography - to ensure the signage and environmental branding system that had been developed was optimally applied to each location and was not left to be a meager one-for-one changeover of new for old. She also managed a team of artists who provided two-dimensional elevation illustrations at correct architectural scale, gorgeous before-and-after in-situation Photoshop renderings, and comprehensive “brand books” which served as a main client deliverable and was the model to follow for project managers, manufacturers, and installers to accurately implement the new brand at each site.

Not only is Melody a hyper-talented graphic design professional, she is a great team leader, a lovely and affable colleague, and an all-around delight to have on any team. Your firm will be better for the addition of Melody.'

Michael Frandy - Former Head of Clients, Harkess-Ord

reference: Smith+Nephew

'Melody and I worked together on the rollout of the new Smith+Nephew brand to all of their global workplace environments. Melody’s knack for developing eye-popping solutions continually left me appreciating her process and well-polished aesthetic. She’s a strategic resource for brainstorming, gathering a much needed second opinion, or as capable and organized team leader.'

'Mel was our stationery designer and she made sure everything tied in, capturing the shooting star, the beach huts and trees representing our local forest to where we lived. Mel took time to understand our story as she worked on our design and her attention to detail made sure everything matched - invitations, RSVP cards, order of service, tv screen background, table plan, name places, table numbers, menus, thank you cards and even my father in laws waistcoat!' -Tom & Chloe
